We just stumbled over this blog; Creative Bloq, with a blog post where they have collected “18 incredible design museum trips“. Go check the museums out, there’s a lot of interesting places to visit. We at Lower East have managed to visit five of them so far – still 13 to go!

The Syndicate

The Syndicate is a little wine company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. As one of the Lower East‘ers is one of the founders behind The Syndicate, It was of course natural that Lower East (who else should have done that?) designed the visual identity for the project. Quick, cheap, functional & simple. Orange, black and white – sometimes with a splash of grey. Voila. And back to work – and the wine.

The Syndicate sells every month a new box of wine, every time under a new theme and with a new selection of good and interesting wines. Once a month The Syndicate are hosting a cosy launch / wine tasting / mini-wine-bar / wine shop somewhere in Copenhagen.

Careful Steps

Lower East are in Copenhagen these weeks, teaching at Borups Højskole (folk high school). The students at the Next Step, are working on application tasks for the design & architecht schools, for the Mediehøjskole in Copenhagen and for several other creative schools in Oslo, Bergen, Stockholm. Tough and demanding times for the ambitious students, some of them are even applying for two or three schools at the same time.

What a thrill working with them. We are having fun, long hours, break throughs (and some smaller break downs). Fantastic ideas and concepts, cool design & funky posters are popping up in a impressing speed. Crossing our fingers, that all of you will pass the eye of the needle.
