A Fabulous Encounter

A Lower East designed book for the exhibition A Fabulous Encounter (Eventyrlig Dialog / Rencontre Fabuleuse) that opened at CCA Andratx – one of the largest centres of Contemporary Art in Mallorca. The exhibition was on show in 2017, after which the ‘fabulous encounter’ took on tour to Chateau de Lavardens, France and to Carl-Henning Pedersen & Else Alfelts Museum in Herning, Denmark.

a fantasy world

The exhibition and the book presents the meeting between a Prince of Denmark and a wellknown CoBrA artist. “The exhibition shows both a fabulous and challenging encounter between Prince Henrik’s monumental sculptures and the CoBrA artist Carl-Henning Pedersen’s colourful paintings. Linked by imagination and a love of art, a lively dialogue emerges between the different works of these two artists.“
